Academic presentation on Russia–Japan relations
Место
London, United Kingdom
Academic presentation delivered in London in 2006 on the complexity and intensity of modern Russian–Japanese relations.
The presentation formed part of Juliana Kadeshnikova’s developing research on Russia and Japan and was associated with an academic session involving Koji Watanabe, former Japanese Ambassador to Russia (1993–1996).
The paper explored how political tension, diplomatic engagement, economic interests, and personal networks shaped a relationship that was simultaneously difficult and sustained by repeated efforts at cooperation.
